You don't have to bare all to get "Naked" - Urban Decay's Naked Palette

So when I heard Urban Decay had released their latest palette, Naked, I knew I had to add it to my collection of makeup palettes. Palettes are a great way to collect different shades of eye shadows, blushes, etc., produced by a specific makeup line; and not to mention a great way to have all that assortment of products in one convenient package.

I can tell you Urban Decay went all out making the Naked palette look classy and luxurious by covering it with brown velvet and Naked imprinted on the outside in gold lettering, very different from the usual palette designs from Urban Decay which are colorful and vivid.

Inside, as you see above, Naked is imprinted in the fold of the palette and have a selection of 12 beautiful eye shadows.  These eye shadows are not bright or eccentric, but the perfect selection to create that perfect "nude" smokey eye look - or a perfect neutral look for work or daytime, along with shadows that are perfect for highlighting.

Shades Included:

Permanent Shades:
•Gunmetal (gray with silver sparkle)
•Half Baked (bronze)
•Naked (matte buff nude)
•Sidecar (cocoa with golden sparkle)
•Sin (champagne shimmer)
•Smog (coppery chocolate bronze)
•Toasted (rich copper)

Shades Exclusive to the Palette:
•Buck (matte nutmeg)
•Creep (onyx with golden sparkle)
•Darkhorse (bronze with golden finish)
•Hustle (plum bronze satin)
•Virgin (satin chamois)

These eye shadows are all full size, which would run you about $204 if purchased individually, but all packaged in this wonderful palette for about $44. Besides the eye shadows the Naked palette also comes with a dual side 24/7 Eyeliner in two shades and a mini Urban Decay Primer Potion.

It was literally a mission to get this palette here in NYC, but once I did I fell in love with it- it's so versatile and  the colors are great in pigment, which don't go anywhere in this city's summer heat.

If you have had the chance to try this palette or lucky enough to get your hands on it leave your feedback down below, or if you have any questions feel free to ask as always!!!

Lash Ecstasy with Diorshow Extase Mascara

If you're familiar with Dior's line of Mascaras, you would know that their mascaras preform exactly how they are formulated to. Dior DiorShow Mascara is the most popular of the line leaving lashes thick, long, and luscious. Dior latest mascara to debut, DiorShow Extase is another mascara that can be added to the must-have list.

First and foremost, I must say the packaging is beautiful- after all, we first fall in love with our eyes. The box itself is elegant, the mascara tube has a gilded chrome finish to it, and of course the mascara brush has distinct curves to it - Dior itself calling the tiered brush "inspired by the couture dresses from the house of Dior."

But beauty aside, let's get right to what we want to know- how's it formulation? It's made with special powders and 3D pigments, which are made to plump lashes as well as, other built-in treatments that reconstruct and promote stronger and fuller lashes. Another plus, the formulation of this mascara is so light, it works well with other mascaras so you can layer the effects you want to achieve if you already have another favorite mascara. (This is called Mascara Wardrobing)

and after-
(no touch-ups have been made - one coat)

So, my take- I really love this mascara (if I didn't I wouldn't be writing about it, honestly) and it really does what it's supposed to do. It made my lashes thicker and darker, and more noticeable. There was no flaking and the formulation wasn't dry. I have to admit, the mascara brush is a little intimidating and you have to practice a bit to get fully separated fanned out lashes - but once you get it, you are hooked.

I was able to try it Extase along with the Dior's DiorShow BlackOut Mascara and I must say, the results are phenomenal, so I suggest that be a good start on mascara wardrobing if you're interested!

If you have any questions on DiorShow's Extase, or comments post below- I'll make sure to get back to you!
