UD Book of Shadows Vol. III - NYC

Ever since the Sephora early release of Urban Decay's new Book of Shadows Vol. III, in late August, here  in NYC -I've been wanting to get my hands on it! Urban Decay eye-shadows are produced every couple of seasons or so in a palette showcasing their shadows and become a great way to try out the highly pigmented eye-shadows without splurging on each one individually. Although some shadows are part of UD permanent collection, there are a few that are exclusive in each volume, and these volumes, too, are limited release. Unfortunately, I've missed out on Urban Decay's past Book of Shadows and collections, but I was able to get my hands recently on their Naked Palette which came out this spring/summer (you can read the review here) and I can tell you personally Urban Decay does not disappoint!!!!

This UD Book of Shadows Vol. III is NYC themed (which made their NYC premier release quite fitting) and is eccentric and wild as NYC itself!

OOOO, the pretty colors :)

So pretty much this is the overall look of Urban Decay's Book of Shadows III- UD <3 NYC. This limited palette contains 16 shadows (which I'll list below) and two 24/7 eyeliners (Ransom - a purplish blue, Zero -black) and a mini Urban Decay Primer Potion. The set retails $54 USD and as of 9/25/10 it is still available on Sephora.com and perhaps in stores, but on Urban Decay's website it is still out of stock. It's full release is expected to be October 1st. If you love it, I recommend you go after it now before it becomes to late!!

  1. I was going to get this the other day but then I decided not to!! I got a NARS blush and Benefit high beam instead! I'm not really into eyeshadows and especially shimmery ones.

  2. I must say this UD does contain a couple of shimmery eyeshadows and three that have severe shimmer fallout, so this palette is to be used with caution. I'm not such a big fan of shimmer either, but the shadows are a decent colors to pull off subtle day looks without going overboard.
P.S. You can never go wrong with a NARS blush!
