Hey Loves! Update!

Hola Lovelies! I know it's been a few I haven't posted on here, but it's been a very hectic two weeks. I've been super busy with night class, working on the end of the year prep in my classrooms, attending beauty events, and prepping my oldest for his Kindergarten graduation. To be sincere, it's difficult to spread oneself over so many tasks!  Beauty blogging is a full-time job in itself and when I put my reviews and thoughts on Mandii A La Mode, I want my readers to know that it's some serious work that goes on behind each post to bring you great info, products, and reviews!

As the final school weeks wrap up, I'll be posting more constantly - in the meantime don't forget to Like   Mandii A La Mode on Facebook, and Follow on Twitter, as well as on Instagram @mandiialamode for the latest random tidbits!

By the way, I'll share with you my pride and joy - what I've been working on, so far, for the past six years:

My oldest, moving on to 1st grade!
Very proud parents!

Be back very soon,

Jeweled Over for Jewelmint

So my lovelies, I had so many people ask me "Where did I get the necklace I was wearing in my Clear Hair Care System post?" Well, I decided it would be perfect to post and share with you about one of my favorite "monthly shopper societies" where I shop for my jewelry fix!

Unlock my heart Necklace from Jewelmint

Jewelmint is one of the many branches of the "Mint" monthly shopper societies (Shoemint, Stylemint) where, as a subscribed monthly member, get to pick from an array of products presented in your showroom, based on your personal choices from a introductory style profile survey.

Jewelmint carries unique, fashion forward jewelry pieces designed by Kate Bosworth and her own celebrity stylist!

Jewelmint
After making your selection and placing your order for the jewelry piece that catches your eye and heart, your order arrives to your door beautifully packed in this mint green signature box along with an exquisite   black bow!

Inside each box, there is a little note presenting and detailing the featured piece in the box.

Here are actually two other pieces I've recently ordered from Jewelmint:

Jewelmint- Lioness Bracelet

I love the Lioness heads on the ends of the bracelet, as well at it being a bit dress-up, but with an element of casualness with the leather detailing.

Jewelmint - Arabian Nights Bracelet

I loved this piece because of it's uniqueness and also the delicate element of the diamond in the midst of the bracelet.

You can check out Jewelmint at www.jewelmint.com for the monthly membership price of 29.99 USD. Right now Jewelmint is offering 60% off your first piece with the promo code FAST60! I promise you'll love it!

Much love as always,

Mandii's May Favorites

Another month has come and gone and now June is here - which makes me so excited because summer is  officially in full swing! So with the start of a new month, I'd like to share with you my beauty faves for the month of May!

Mandii A La Mode's May Favorites

Zoya - Charisma

This is the best selling color nail polish from Zoya. This color is a beautiful neon bright purple/pink! The only issue is that it dries matte but that can be fixed with a great glossy top coat! I love this polish so much I rocked it practically all through May!

OCC Lip Tar - Hoochie

The name of this lip pigment from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics makes me laugh, but the color means business! It's a beautiful magenta and I layered it with my MAC lipliner with the same name and the lipstick below and it was pure awesomeness!

MAC Lipstick - Bust Out

This lipstick is from last year's MAC beach/summer collection and when I saw it I expected it to be a bit bolder than it appeared, but being it's a lustre finish - it's actually has somewhat of a sheer subtle berry color that can be intensified!

I even paired it up with the OCC lip pigment and a MAC lipliner along with my Charisma mani for a matching beauty look!

MAC mineralize blush - Fresh Honey

This was my go to blush for the entire month! I really think i can't live without this beautiful color! It's a peach with a hint of a golden shimmer that looks amazing on a warm skin tone!

NYX - Felt tip Eyeliner

Playing up my lips for this month, I figured I would go easy on the eyes. So I just keep the eye-shadow neutral with a bit of a golden shimmer. I then just defined my eyes with a light sweep of this eyeliner for a clean, no fuss, simple winged look!

I usually like to keep my make-up routine pretty simple for the summer because I'm not a fan of an excess amount of product on my face while I'm sweating up a storm. What are my lovelies loving for the summer? I would love to know, leave me a comment or tweet me at @mandiialamode !

Much love,

Fresh Hair, New Care ... Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy Shop

Hey lovelies! So summer is here and I decided I needed to change up my hair! I had recently cut a fringe and I decided I wanted something just a tad more different...so I lightened up the hair!

The color I'm currently rocking is a ginger/honey brown cross - a bit brown not quite blonde with reddish undertones. I haven't gone this light in a while and those that dye their hair know to keep your hair color radiant, it needs requires some serious upkeep!

Well being beauty blogger I'm always keeping an eye out for the latest products, and recently I saw the television commercial for this new hair system called Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy.

What's so interesting about the Clean Scalp and Hair Therapy line is that it says it nourishes the hair starting from the roots and scalp giving you the foundation for beautiful hair. Quite different from other hair care lines that focus on just caring for ends!

Without further thought, I headed to my fave drugstore to checkout this hair care system for myself!

Can you recognize which Duane Reade is this? Yup, it's the one on Times Square!

Yes, Apparently I was photographed in favorite section of the store... the beauty section...

Found it! Relatively new product so I had to search for it for a while! Picked up the Damage and Color Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. I was hoping my hair would have the necessary defense system for the new color I was to go for!

Of course though, I couldn't come out of Duane Reade empty handed!

As soon as I got home, I was ready to try my new shampoo and conditioner! I can say for starters, it smelled amazing! Hard to describe, but definitely wonderful! The shampoo was a iridescent pearl white with a hint of purple. It didn't take much to get it really worked into my long, thick hair.

The conditioner was nice and thick and smelled just like the shampoo.

It may just be a Mandii thing, but I like to keep my conditioners in for a while, so I kept it in for a good five minutes and washed it out with cool water. ( Cool water helps seal the cuticle of the hair and gives it a nice shine!)

And here's the hair colored, washed and blow dried!

Super long, healthy and shiny!

Overall, two cycles in and I'm loving the Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy system. Having such long and thick hair, it's important that a shampoo and conditioner is light and doesn't leave residue and weigh down my hair. I also love that it will promote healthy hair growth because now with my lighter locks, it needs help against the toll coloring has on the hair!
